T-Shirt Design
•April 28, 2011 • 2 CommentsI used a drawing by a facebook friend of mine Lanay Asay. She’s incredible as you can see. I had multiple copies of the drawing layer with layers of color set as screens and darkens. I also added lots of techniques, like blurring and filters as well. you can critique here http://www.threadless.com/critique/88737/Future_Species

•March 2, 2011 • 12 CommentsSo here’s how i did this (Ive gotten a few requests). First i took the pic of my face, which was already colored the blue and purple because of the lighting I used. I then create a text paragraph over my face. From there I pasted some text I wrote in Notepad. The I went thru the words and changed the font up on some of them. I rasterized the text, and did a warp transform to mold it to the shape of my face. Then I erased inside the eyes and did the same thing there. I added the FEAR text to my forehead, and then merged all the text layers. From there I doubled the layer with my face and added a clipping mask over the text. Finally I added a gradient overlay Layer style to the font.
For the B&W pic, i just added an additional B&W layer adjustment. Then I added another vertical text paragraph with the famous ‘lorem ipsum’ writing repeated over and over again. I then added a radial gradient overlay layer effect on that.
In the days since, Ive created an additional piece. I like it because it looks like a movie poster. Check it out…
Masks/Advertisement (Week 5)
•February 25, 2011 • 5 CommentsAll week I struggled to come up with an idea for this project. It was very difficult. So I went with an idea I had before. I wanted to make a snuggie with my bands’ logo on it. So for this I got some pictures off of Snuggie’s website, and added logo’s of some of my favorite bands. I then created a mask on each picture so I could get a cool background.
Im not gonna upload every pic, but here’s pretty much how i did it
